No.462. Two signatures. ''Payment'' is hyphenated type. Written date. December 15, 1757. Very Good. Vertical split glued together. Small chips off the left corners and a piece off the center edge. The texts are clear and the signatures well accomplished. This tough note is generally not seen in high grade. Very collectible.

No.3540. Four signatures. Liberty cap over altar. LIBERTAS & NATALE SOLUM. Printed on thick laid paper. Extremely Fine. Hard vertical fold, but with a short split at the top and a small juncture hole there with tiny hinge patch. The corners are rounded. Quite vivid and bright for the issue and type. Notes from the Halifax issue are always popular.

No.23979. Single signature. Liberty and Peace, the reward of virtuous Resistance. One of two mottoes used on this act and denomination. About Uncirculated. Perhaps, pressed long ago. The corners are soft and the signature is light.

No.3428[?]. Single signature. Virtuous Councils the Cement of States. About Uncirculated. The corners are a trifle soft, but well printed and with some embossing. The margins for the issue are more than adequate.

No.6092. Two signatures. American Fortidude Displayed. Very Fine, but looks better. Light folds and some modest foxing. Well margined for an issue notorious for uneven centering and poor cutting. For the grade, quite a superior example. Worth a premium as such.

No.5582. Two signatures. Dulce pro Patria mori. Printed on thin laid paper. Very Fine. Light folds, but very bright and with the look of a new note. The lower right corner is slightly rounded. Wide sheet margin at the left.

No.912[?]. Two signatures. Divities Reipublicae dant mihi Pretium. The 'T' is in cartouche. Printed on coarse stock by Davis. Fine, repaired. There are several edge splits at the lower left patched with hinge tape on the face. Some light stains in the region. Intact and finer than the technical description.

No.6941. Two signatures. Divities Reipublicae dant mihi Pretium. Different typeset, large block ''FIVE HUNDRED'' at top and without the 'T' in a cartouche. Printed on thin laid paper by Davis. Very Fine. Minor surface soiling. Well margined and printed. An attractive example of this note on fairly delicate paper.

Not numbered. Contemporary Counterfeit. Two signatures. Ship vignette. COMMERCIO. Printed on a thin laid paper. Fine, but a chunk off the lower left corner with a crude patch. Water stained at the upper right. A fairly crude counterfeit plate copied from Davis. Scarce.
922 North Carolina. December 29, 1785 Act. Twenty Shillings F $1,200.00

No. 12625. Signed by Hunt and Tatom. Angel Gabriel and church vignette lower left. Printed on thin, coarse stock. Fine, but vertically split with crude hinge repairs on the back. Some light staining to the face. Well margined and printed. The note presents a decent appearance and is very scarce. This is a collectible grade as Newman prices the note only in ''Good'' and ''Very Good''.
