1807 Br.5-D (R-3). Large Stars, Perfect Dies. Brilliant Uncirculated

BU |
$6,500.00 |
Luxuriant deep red-gold lustre distinguishes this example of the first year of the new John Reich design. A glass locates a few faint facial lines and there is a short deep mark in the left obverse field, but this coin remains an excellent example of an elusive, short-lived type. |

1808 Br.4-B (R-4). Normal Date

CH AU |
$6,500.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated. Lightest evidence of circulation, peripheral lustre combine to give this coin its positive visual effect. A few hairlines are to be found, but the overall appeal is undeniable. |

1927 |
1809/8 Br.1-A (R-3). Large 9
|
CH AU |
$6,000.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated. Smooth, deep gold surfaces show a few light lines, minimal actual wear. Generally regarded as an overdate with a small '180' and a much larger '9' over remnants of a really uncertain underlying digit. Breen 1-A is the only die variety for this date. Here is a rare coin and a beautiful example of the type. |

1810 Br.1-A. Large Date, Large 5. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated

$35,000.00 |
- with claims to Gem. Here is a coin whose rich, glowing gold lustre is a perfect match for its meticulous strike. This major variety bears a large date ending in a large round '0.' The reverse displays a tall, slanting '5' whose tip is just below the arrow feathers. This example is an earlier die state than the Harry Bass sylloge coin, and shows neither die clash nor die rust. |

1929 |
1811 Br.1-B (High R-3). Small 5. Brilliant Uncirculated
|
BU |
$15,500.00 |
Splendid light yellow-gold mint frost saturates both sides of this pleasing coin. Only a few bagmarks in the fields keep this marvelous coin from a higher grade. Close examination shows a die rust dot on the eagle's beak also noted on the Harry Bass sylloge specimen of this significant variety. |

1812 Br.1-B (R-3). Wide 5 D. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated

CH BU |
$18,000.00 |
- or finer. Splendidly lustrous fields are nearly mark-free. The obverse is without die clash, and examination under a glass finds light horizontal adjustment marks on Liberty's face. This delightful coin shows a sharper strike than the Bass sylloge plate and is without the doubling noted on that coin. This conservatively graded piece must rank among the finest known of this variety in... more |
