No.106-. Three signatures. Printed by B. Franklin and D. Hall. The appearance of Fine. The hard crease is split with an antique strip repair across the back. There are minor nicks and pinholes. Sharply printed on the face and less so on the back.

No.16164. Three signatures. Printed by B. Franklin and D. Hall. Fine or nearly so. The crease only has a partial splitting at the right. Bottom corner rounds, but with some heavier back soiling. However, the imprint is clear on the back. Quite superior to most of the damaged and repaired notes known on this issue.

The note is boldly printed on both sides, well accomplished, and with crystal clear imprint. On par with many of the sharper Franklin notes from the Ford-Boyd Collection Part III Sale. There are faint traces of an ancient mounting at the top of the back, visible under a glass. This series and format seen in high grade, but this is an excellent example. No.103[?]. Three signatures. Bettering House Money. About Fine. The vertical crease has some partial splitting. The upper corners are rounded with some moderate surface soiling on both sides.

No.4378. Three signatures: Luke Morris, Isaac Cox, and D.[aniel] Roberdeau. Red face tint. Choice Extremely Fine. The crease is hard, not broken and shows slight soiling on the back. However, the face color is vivid and bold. Well margined and the look of a new note at first glance.

No.30503. Three signatures: John Morton: Signer of the Declaration of Independence, John Sellers and Chas. Humphreys. About Very Fine. Very crisp with no splitting. The Morton signature is boldly accomplished and full. Moderate surface soiling on the face and back. An excellent example of this signer variety.

No.1771. Three signatures. Red face tint. Workhouse Issue. Crisp Uncirculated and close to Choice. The right end has some handling weakness from trimming, otherwise a fresh and original example with deep red tints. Another classic issue type on Pennsylvania based on the Quaker traditions.

No.3401. Three signatures. Choice Crisp Uncirculated, and claims to Gem. Perhaps some faint handling on the corners as typical on notes over 200 years old! However, the deep and bold impression with superior margins compensates for that petty triviality. Not rare as a type, but a lovely example.

No.4996. Three signatures. Vertical format. Crisp Uncirculated. Average margins, but fully clear and well centered; Two Shillings. No.7555. Three signatures. Square format note. Choice Crisp Uncirculated. Well printed and margined. Slightly close at the lower right. A sharp pairing featuring two format sizes used on the issue. 2 pieces.

No.25371. Two signatures. Vertical uncut pair from a sheet. About Uncirculated. A horizontal gutter crease between the notes, but into the bottom printing of the top note. The bottom note is New. An excellent multiple with natural edge deckling at the left.

No.4640. Two signatures: Betterton and Kenley. Crisp Uncirculated, and close to Choice quality. There are some petty dings on three corners, Bold color color and superb embossing. Appealing due to color scheme, style and vignette. These are bringing a significant premium over the Black notes of the issue date.

No.1279[?]. Two signatures: Boehm and Cather[?, faint]. Island Money Issue. Fine to Very Fine, and nearly the latter. Even circulation with cross creases, a corner fold and handling. Very clean and a tough series of notes that is not priced in the Newman 4th Edition. A clean note that we have not handled in any recent sale. A ''sleeper'' for the specialist.

No.11083. Two signatures: Boehm and Miller. Square format note. About Uncirculated due to a bend and some handling. The bottom left and lower left end margin lines are trimmed in slightly. A scarce type and tougher than the Pence small format notes on the series.

No.50794. Two signatures. Wide format note, similar to April 1777 Issues. Extremely Fine or better. Heavy vertical bending, but not creased. The bottom margin line is rather tight or slightly in. Excellent grade for the series and only priced at Very Fine or less in Newman.
