- with claims to the Gem category. An entirely bright, nearly Full Head specimen. The surfaces boast the satiny textured lustre always seen on the first few years of issue. 1917 Type I. Brilliant Uncirculated. Full Head and Shield
|
BU |
$280.00 |

- essentially a Full Head. Liberty's head lacks only the finest definition on and below her temple, with the three defining leaves clear. Similarly, the shield lacks two of the bosses from being complete. Lustrous and starting to tone with delicate gold around the rims. The obverse is nicer overall, and the reverse has a couple of minor scuffs which kept this one from a higher grade. |
