Light russet-gold toning laves this boldly struck, fully lustrous specimen of this early Capped Bust Half Dollar date. Rich, cartwheel lustre produces a certain flash and decided appeal. Reverse die in the characteristic late state, with a die crack essentially encircling the entire reverse!

Here is an awesome specimen that boasts vibrant mint lustre beneath a rich veneer of pale olive and light rose-gold toning on both sides. Strike is sharp, with only some minor weakness at the very highest points of the devices. This specimen undoubtedly ranks among the finest survivors of this slightly scarcer die combination.
