Only 16 small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. This note is by far the highest grade known for this charter and should be actively bid upon. 1256 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF HIGHLAND PARK. Ch.12598. $10.00. Fr.1801-2 G $500.00 1929 Type 2. No.A003813. Fine. Well centered with good color. Some pinholes near the right side charter number and some pen on the left side margin. One of only 16 small size notes reported in the Census. 1257 NEW JERSEY. THE IRVINGTON NB [OF] IRVINGTON. Fr.1802-2. 1929 Type 2 CH AU $4,500.00 No.C000138A. Choice About Uncirculated. A gorgeous note with great centering, splendid color and paper quality. Only three small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. Another great note from bustling Middlesex County. A great opportunity for the advanced collector of this challenging series. 1259 NEW JERSEY. THE PEOPLE'S NB OF KEYPORT. Ch.4147. $10.00. Fr.1801-1 G $1,700.00 1929 Type 1. No.C000320A. Fine. An appealing note with good color and crispness. A trivial split at the top is very hard to see. One of only eight small size notes reported in the Census. This bank is very difficult to find with only two auction appearances in the last 21 years. The last was in our May 2003 Sale. 1260 NEW JERSEY. THE PEOPLE'S NB OF KEYPORT. Ch.4147. $20.00. Fr.1802-1 CH VF $2,600.00 1929 Type 1. No.D000142A. Choice Very Fine with claims to a higher grade. Good color and paper quality define this note. The centering is excellent, giving this note great eye appeal. Only eight small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. Centered toward the bottom and very close to the design. Good color gives this note good eye appeal. One of only 23 small size notes reported in the Census. This charter has come up for auction only once in the last 15 years and it was in our May 2003 Sale of the Eastern Collection. A very scarce bank from popular Monmouth County. 1263 NEW JERSEY. MANASQUAN NB [OF] MANASQUAN. Ch.9213. $10.00. Fr.1801-2 AU $750.00 1929 Type 2. No.A000002. Choice Very Fine although listed in the Census as About Uncirculated. That must be a mistake as the note is clearly Very Fine. There is a small edge chink at the bottom margin only. The color is good and the paper quality is excellent for a note of this grade. Fr.1802-1 VF $500.00 1929 Type 1. No.C000204A. Very Fine with a couple of bald spots on the front. The centering and the color are nice. Only 23 small size notes reported in the Census with this note not included in the Census. A third note from this popular seaside resort town. 1265 NEW JERSEY. MANASQUAN NB [OF] MANASQUAN. Very Good to Fine. Decently centered with good color for the grade. No major problems except for extensive commercial usage. One of only 12 small size notes reported in the Census. No.C000380A. Very Good. An attractively centered example. The note has the appearance of being lightly starched at one time with some residue visible on the back. Fr.1800-2. 1929 Type 2 VF-30 $600.00 No.A001467. Very Fine. A way above average note in terms of paper quality, color and centering. A single pinhole in the portrait is this note's main detraction. One of only 18 small size notes reported in the Census. There have been only five appearances in the last 15 years for this bank and only one has been a type 2 note. A final note from this one bank town that was chartered in January of 1917. 1277 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF MORRISTOWN. Ch.1188. $20.00. Fr.1802-2 EF $275.00 1929 Type 2. No.A002682. Extremely Fine. The centering is good and the note is bright with excellent color. The crispness is quite good for a note of this grade. A lovely example from exclusive Morris County. 1278 NEW JERSEY. Choice Extremely Fine and very close to About Uncirculated. Well centered, bright white paper and great seal color.
