Ch.12891 VG $375.00 $10.00. Fr.1801-2. 1929 Type 2. No.A004335. Very Good. A well centered note with some light soiling. No major detractions except for the margin cut a bit askew at the upper right corner. One of only 13 small size notes reported in the Census. In the last 15 years there have been only five appearances from this one bank town that issued only Type 2 small size notes. 1226 NEW JERSEY.THE FARMERS NB OF ALLENTOWN. Ch.3501. $20.00. Fr.1802-1 VG $650.00 1929 Type 1. No.E000277A. Very Good or slightly better. Good centering except for the upper left corner which is a bit tight. A few trivial pinholes, otherwise this note is handsome for the grade. One of only six small size notes reported in the Census. There have been only 7 appearances in the last 15 years for this one bank town. 1227 NEW JERSEY. ASBURY PARK NB AND TRUST COMPANY [OF] ASBURY PARK. Ch.13363 CH CU $425.00 $5.00. Fr.1800-1. 1929 Type 1. No.A002534. Choice Crisp Uncirculated, despite some light teller handling. A very well centered note with nearly even margins. The color is excellent and the paper quality is good. This is the only bank from this famous shore town that is readily available since two of the other banks are unreported and the third has only one note reported. Well centered although the upper right corner is rounded. Some very light soiling, otherwise this note is sharp for the grade. Ch.13363 F $200.00 $20.00. Fr.1802-1. 1929 Type 1. No.D000194A. Fine. Centered a bit toward the bottom, but well clear of the design. The color is decent and there are no major detractions to affect this popular note's value. There are only three of this type in the Census with this note new to the Census. 1231 NEW JERSEY. Centered toward the top, not touching the design. Colorful, but the note has the number '175' penned on the front. This serial number, which is listed in the Census, is by far the lowest number available on this popular bank. 1232 NEW JERSEY.THE ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS NB [OF] ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS. Ch.4119 G $700.00 $10.00. Fr.1801-1. 1929 Type 1. No.D001366A. Fine. Decently centered with good color. A small stain on the front at the right. A few pinholes in the portrait, otherwise this note has a pleasing appearance. One of only 11 small size notes reported in the Census. A rare one bank town that has very few auction appearances. 1233 NEW JERSEY.THE FNB OF BELLEVILLE. Ch.8382. $20.00. Fr.1802-1. 1929 Type 1 CH VF $225.00 No.A000895A. Choice Very Fine. A well centered note that has good color and strong paper quality for the grade. There are penciled initials (?) on the back that should be easily removable to those who have an inclination to do so. A useful Essex County note. 1234 NEW JERSEY.THE FNB OF BELMAR. Ch.5363. $10.00. Fr.1801-1. 1929 Type 1. No G $1,600.00 B000584A. Fine with some light foxing mainly visible on the back. Also a word penned on the back. Well centered with good color overall. Only four small size notes are reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. This example is very rare since only one small size note has hit the auction block in recent memory and that was in 1995. A sharp note from this lovely shore hamlet. 1235 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF BELMAR. Ch.5363. $20.00. Fr.1802-1. 1929 Type 1 G $1,600.00 No.A000123A. Fine, respectable centering and good color. Attractive paper quality and appealing. Only four small size notes are reported in the Census with this another note new to the Census. A rare denomination as only 185 sheets of twenties were printed. 1236 NEW JERSEY. THE BELMAR NB [OF] BELMAR. Ch.13848. $5.00. Fr.1800-2 VG $2,200.00 1929 Type 2. No.A000770. Very Good, perhaps a bit better. A well centered note that has good color and no other detractions. One of only six small size notes reported in the Census. A very rare charter that has only been on the auction block once in recent years and that was in a NASCA sale in 1979. Only $18,270 was issued by this bank. Don't miss this opportunity to acquire a wonderful...  more 1237 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF BRADLEY BEACH. Ch.10224. $5.00. Fr.1800-2 G $950.00 1929 Type 2. No.A002996. Fine or nearly so. Very well centered with good color. A couple of obscure pinholes, otherwise this note is wholesome and quite acceptable. One of only 12 small size notes reported in the Census. Only five appearances in the last 15 years, the last in a Stack's May 2003 Sale. A tough note from this one bank shore town. 1238 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF BRADLEY BEACH. Ch.10224. $10.00. Fr.1801-2 F to VF $950.00 1929 Type 2. No.A000513. Fine to Very Fine. Exceptional centering which is nearly perfect. The color is good and the paper crispness is better than average for this grade. Only 12 small size notes are reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. Only three of this type and denomination are reported in the Census, making this note quite desirable. 1239 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF BRADLEY BEACH. Ch.10224. $20.00. Fr.1802-1 VF $2,600.00 1929 Type 1. No.D000131A. Very Fine. A well centered note with acceptable color and good crispness for the grade. One of only 12 small size notes reported in the Census including this note which is the only $20.00 represented. There has never been a type 1 note ever auctioned from this charter as far as we can tell. 1240 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF CARTERET. Ch.8437. $20.00. Fr.1802-1. 1929 Type 1 G $600.00 No.A000421A. Fine. A bit of light soiling at the left front does not detract that much. The centering is good and the color is decent. One of only seven small size notes reported in the Census. This is the second title of this bank with no reported notes known from the first title. A neat Middlesex County note. 1241 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF CRANBURY. Ch.3168. $5.00. Fr.1800-1. 1929 Type 1 F to VF $300.00 No.C002025A. Fine to Very Fine. A well centered note that is mainly defect-free except for moderate commercial wear. Only 26 small size notes are reported in the Census with this one new to the Census. Only eleven appearances in the last 15 years, the last two years ago. A difficult Middlesex County note. 1242 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF CRANBURY. Ch.3168. $10.00. Fr.1801-1. 1929 Type 1 VG $225.00 No.F000385A. Very Good. Centered toward the left margin, but the design does not touch. Some moderate soiling. A couple of tiny tears at the right that only affect the margin. One of only 26 small size notes reported in the Census. 1243 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF CRANBURY. Ch.3168. $10.00. Fr.1801-1. 1929 Type 1 VG $200.00 No.E000646A. Very Good. Moderately soiled and very well centered. The paper is soft as is usual with a note of this grade. One of only 26 small size notes reported in the Census. 1244 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF CRANBURY. A well centered note which shows some moderate commercial wear. One of only 26 small size notes reported in the Census. 1246 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF EATONTOWN. Ch.10110. $5.00. Fr.1800-2. 1929 Type 2 F $350.00 No.A000626. Fine. Centered a bit toward the top, but the design does not touch. A tiny split a the top central fold otherwise this note is appealing for the grade. One of only 23 small size notes reported in the Census. A scarce one bank town located in serene Monmouth County. 1247 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF EATONTOWN. Ch.10110. $10.00. Fr.1801-1 VG $350.00 1929 Type 2. No.C000735A. Very Good, perhaps slightly better. Excellent centering with just some light soiling and the number '38' in pencil on the front. A hard to find pinhole does not detract. One of only 23 small size notes reported in the Census including the present specimen. A difficult Monmouth County note with only eight appearances in the last 15 years. 1248 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF ENGLISHTOWN. Ch.7223. $10.00. Fr.1801-2 VG $12,000.00 1929 Type 2. No.A000001. Very Good, perhaps a bit better and well centered. No major detractions are present to affect this note's eye appeal. One of only three small size notes reported in the Census. Very rare as this charter has never been auctioned in the last 15 years. A lovely Monmouth County note from this one bank town known for it's flea market and car racing. 1249 NEW JERSEY. THE CENTRAL NB OF FREEHOLD. Ch.4182. $5.00. Fr.1800-2 VG $1,200.00 1929 Type 2. No.A002066. Very Good. A decently centered note with no major problems except for commercial wear. One of only four small size notes reported in the Census. The only small note auctioned in the last 15 years was one in a May 2003 Stack's Sale. A decent Monmouth County town that is noted for its harness racing. 1250 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF FREEHOLD. Ch.452. $20.00. Fr.1802-1. 1929 Type 1 G to VG $250.00 No.D000117A. Good to Very Good. The note is moderately soiled and is centered right up to the design at the top left. Only 18 small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. The oldest bank chartered in Freehold as it was chartered in June of 1864. 1251 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF FREEHOLD. Ch.452. $20.00. Fr.1802-2. 1929 Type 2 VG $400.00 No.A000384. Very Good, perhaps a bit better. Very well centered with decent color for the grade. Only 18 small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. A very scarce bank as it has had only two auction appearances in the last 15 years and this charter was not in the large New Jersey collection we auctioned in May of 2003. 1252 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF HIGHLAND PARK. Ch.12598. $5.00. Fr.1800-1 VG to F $450.00 1929 Type 1. No.A004350A. Very Good to Fine and nicely centered. A small stain at the bottom of the portrait. One of only 16 small size notes reported in the census with this note included. A difficult one bank town to acquire since there has been only 7 appearances in the last 15 years. 1253 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF HIGHLAND PARK. Ch.12598. $5.00. Fr.1800-2 VG $425.00 1929 Type 2. No.A003265. Very Good. Well centered with a moderate amount of soiling present. One of only 16 small size notes reported in the census with this note included. This is the only $5.00 type 2 known on this bank. 1254 NEW JERSEY. THE FNB OF HIGHLAND PARK. Ch.12598. $10.00. Fr.1801-1 VG $450.00 1929 Type 1. No.F001913A. Very Good. A decently centered note with good color considering the grade and no major detractions. Only 16 small size notes reported in the Census with this note new to the Census. Another useful note from this one bank town in beautiful Middlesex County.
