Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 4408 1899 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $140.00 Lovely russet and gold toning over well struck surfaces. The lustre is quite good and peeks out from under the toning. A decent coin for the grade. 4409 1899'O' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $4,500.00 Slate gray on the obverse, the reverse a mellow gold tone. Well struck with nice pleasing surfaces. A very underrated date in this condition and a specimen that should bring a considerable premium. 4410 1899'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $8,000.00 - and on the verge of full Gem status. Attractive golden toning with a strike that is simply marvelous. The lustre is quite satiny and protrudes through the toning, giving this coin outstanding eye appeal. The mintmark exhibits machine doubling. Another of the so-called ''Philippines Hoard'' date but this coin is far superior to most seen from there. 4411 1899'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $2,000.00 - and really quite nice for the grade. Deep watery fields give this coin the initial appearance of a Proof. The letters are squared and the strike is good, but the coin overall just does not have the ''feel'' of a branch mint Proof. Here is a very attractive coin that has deep golden toning and would make a welcome addition to any collection. 4412 1900 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $1,150.00 A coin with deeply mirrored surfaces and nicely frosted devices. Some light cloudy obverse toning does not detract from the overall eye appeal of this turn of the century date. 4413 1900 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $200.00 Light greenish-gold toning over very satiny surfaces. The strike is bold and the fields are very nicely preserved, giving this coin wonderful eye appeal. 4414 1900'O' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $6,500.00 Satiny surfaces exude pale golden toning. The strike is weak in the hair and the top of the reverse, which is typical for this date. Very underrated and quite scarce in Mint State, with most specimens seen in very low grade. 4415 1900'S' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $500.00 Marvelous multicolor toning on the edge of the reverse, the obverse with a lesser amount. The centers are satiny and the surfaces have an attractive prooflike quality to them. Well struck and very attractive and just a few light slide marks on the cheek away from a full Gem designation. Another date from the ''Philippines Hoard'' but this specimen is probably far superior to the coins...  more 4416 1901 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $320.00 A steel gray example that is well struck and has nice reflectivity. Some light hairlines do not overly detract, leaving a very attractive coin for the designated grade. 4417 1901 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $375.00 - perhaps a bit better. Delightful gold and light blue toning over satiny surfaces. The strike is excellent and the lustre is quite nice as it peeks out from beneath the toning. A nice example of this relatively common date. 4418 1901'O' over Horizontal 'O'. Breen 3528. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,100.00 - with claims to the Gem category. A lovely coin with pale golden toning that exhibits a single obverse spot as its main detriment. A decent strike further defines this coin. A rare variety in this high grade with very few coins certified of this variety and even less in this exalted grade. 4419 1901'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $800.00 - with the initial appearance of a higher grade. Frosty gray surfaces highlight this well struck coin. The lustre is a bit subdued due to the toning but overall this coin has a very appealing look. quite rare in Mint State as this date has only 593,022 pieces struck, the fourth lowest mintage of any date in this series including the 1894'S'. 4420 1902 Very Choice Brilliant Proof VERY CH BR PF $550.00 A brilliant coin that has deep watery surfaces and some light frost on the devices. The fields are quite nice with nary a major blemish to encumber this lovely coin. Well struck from the new hubs that were first used in 1901. 4421 1902 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $220.00 Light gold toning with the majority of the coin satiny. The strike is quite bold and the lustre is beaming off the surfaces. A few light lines, but none detract from this attractive coin's overall appeal. 4422 1902'O' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,400.00 - with claims to a higher grade. Deep multicolor toning is quite attractive and bathes the semi-reflective surfaces underneath. The strike is good but for a slightly soft area near the mintmark. A wonderful example of this scarce date which is very difficult to acquire in full Mint State. 4423 1902'S' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $4,500.00 Outstanding reflective surfaces enhance the lovely pale gold and light iridescent toning. The strike is magnificent and the fields and devices are nearly mark-free. The lustre is special as is the overall appeal of this coin. Quite rare in Gem condition, this beauty should not be missed as another opportunity to acquire a similarly high quality example might not come along for quite...  more 4424 1903 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $1,000.00 A marvelous blend of deep iridescent toning gives this coin its excellent character. The strike is razor-sharp and the surfaces are of the highest quality. Not too many Proof Dimes can boast a more attractive appearance than this little jewel. 4425 1903 CH AU $90.00 Choice About Uncirculated with strong claims to Mint State. Russet toning about the rim with the centers mostly bright from a past cleaning. The strike is decent, as is the lustre. The surfaces show some moderate contact marks. 4426 1903'O' Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $18,000.00 - and very close to the Gem category. Attractive olive and gold toning with some light blue iridescence on the reverse. The strike is excellent for this New Orleans minted coin. The lustre is quite good and gives this coin nice eye appeal. A die crack is visible on the back of the cap. A totally original example of this scarce date that is especially so in this very high grade. 4427 1903'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $1,600.00 Light gold toning with mottled iridescence gives this coin nice appeal. A great deal of mint lustre shines through the toning, which enables the prospective buyer to see just how special this coin really is. To top it off, this coin has an excellent strike which further demonstrates the need for closer consideration. A wonderful example of this rare and seldom seen date in Mint State. 4428 1904 Very Choice Brilliant Proof VERY CH BR PF $550.00 Dazzling reflective surfaces are mostly untoned. Well struck with all the intricate detail present. A nice original coin that is well worth a closer inspection. 4429 1904 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $300.00 - perhaps a bit better. Attractive satiny surfaces exude light golden toning. The strike is wonderful and further enhances the overall eye appeal of this pretty coin. 4430 1904'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $625.00 - the reverse fully Choice. Lovely multicolor ring toning affords this coin nice eye appeal. The strike is average with some light weakness in the hair. There are a few scattered marks seen, none of which are too serious. Another scarce, low mintage date that is sure to please. 4431 1905 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $1,400.00 Gorgeous glass-like fields show little if any toning. An excellent strike awards this coin lovely appeal. A totally original coin that will make its new owner quite proud. 4432 1905 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $750.00 - with claims to a higher grade. Pretty gold toning over surfaces that are quite satiny. The lustre is quite nice and gives this coin wonderful eye appeal. A coin that should be closely inspected. 4433 1905'O' Normal Mintmark. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $400.00 - with the eye appeal of a much higher grade. Superb iridescent and gold toning over very satiny surfaces. Well struck for this date. This coin will cause numismatic heartbreak since it has the eye appeal of a near-Gem but has two reverse pinscratches that were done many years ago and now are toned over. Still a very flashy looking coin. 4434 1905'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $235.00 - perhaps a bit better. Russet and gold with a trace of blue about the edge. The centers are satiny and untoned. Well struck with good lustre. A very pretty coin that will please its new owner. 4435 1906 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $1,000.00 A beautiful lavender and gold toned example that is well struck and quite nice. This coin has an air of originality that cannot be beat and should enable this coin to find a new home quite easily. 4436 1906 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $110.00 Light toning over lustrous surfaces. A pair of pinscratches on the cheek are this coin's main detraction, otherwise this coin has a decent appearance. 4437 1906'D' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $250.00 - nearly Choice. Wonderful iridescent color with the centers quite lustrous. Well struck. A nick on the cheek keeps this coin from a higher designation.
