 1868 Very Choice Brilliant Proof. A lovely example of this scarce Proof date. The surfaces have some faint hairlines and a minute speck or two, visible with a strong loupe. A curling lint mark is found extending off the upper point of one of the left stars on the reverse toward the '5'. Traces of cloudiness, but this one is finer than usually encountered from the small Proof issue of 600 pieces.
