1911'D' Brilliant Uncirculated, with claims to Choice. Rich orange-gold toning bathes the fields, while lighter wheaten-gold tones line the crevices of the devices on this lustrous, original coin. The 'D' mintmark is bold and plain on this key date that often exhibits a weak to nonexistent mintmark. A mere 55,680 pieces were coined of this scarcity, and in fact all gold issues from the Denver mint in this year are quite difficult to find, save the Double Eagle denomination. Conservatively graded NGC MS61.
