1831 LM-4 (R-4). Star 2 Repunched, Bases MERI Touch. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated
|
GEM BU |
$3,250.00 |
Boldly prooflike and on the cusp of fully Superb. Boldly reflective fields and exacting devices are drenched in deep blue with a subtle leavening of gold. Logan and McCloskey specify an MS-63 example as the finest, but the present glittering coin is light years beyond that level and gives this magnificent coin a solid claim to finest known. $230.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated. Just a touch of rub at the highest points is all that prevents this majestic specimen from full Mint State. Plenty of frosty mint lustre remains on the pale golden silver surfaces of this pleasing specimen. |

1832 LM-5. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated
|
GEM BU |
$1,100.00 |
A mostly untoned example that is quite lustrous and well struck for the issue. It is struck from the intermediate state of the die with certain letters of the reverse legend filled, but with none of the die cracks mentioned in Logan McCloskey. |
