Well struck with strong details present on both sides. The lustre is good, joining greenish-gold toning. The dies are rotated in such a way that they are essentially in ''medal turn'' orientation. The coin also shows multiple clash marks including the base of the numeral '1' jutting out from behind the neck. A very unusual coin that is quite nice for the grade.

The variety with a doubled date (Breen-5). The date was first cut too low and sloping dramatically upward from left to right. Razor-sharp fully frosty design elements are awash in liquid-glass, orange-peel fields.
