1794 Br.6b, C.4a (R-3). Normal Head, High Date, Close Legend
|
VG-10 |
$350.00 |
Very Good-10. Medium brown color graces glossy, but somewhat granular surfaces. There are no signs of corrosive pits or other damage that often plagues these early coppers. All legends are visible except for the 'Y' in LIBERTY which is missing due to some striking weakness. |

1794 Br.9, C.9. High Relief Head, Heavy Wreath
|
VG-10 |
$325.00 |
Very Good-10. The obverse motifs and the bulk of the reverse are a pleasing walnut brown. The obverse fields are mostly dark from some sort of encrustation, and areas of the reverse are rose toned. The lower reverse is weakly struck, but is all there. |

1795 Br.2a, C.2a. Comma in Date, Lettered Edge. Thin Planchet

$14,000.00 |
Choice About Uncirculated-55. Here is a magnificent chestnut brown example of this popular variety. The surfaces are hard and glossy. The details are extremely sharp as the result of a bold strike. The die chip between the '1' and '7', which gives this variety its knickname, is very bold. An extraordinary specimen which should fall into the lower levels of the Condition Census. |

1795 Br.6a. C.6a. No Pole. Plain Edge. Thin Planchet
|
AU-55 |
$5,250.00 |
About Uncirculated-55. Miss Liberty's hair appears to float in the wind on this boldly impressed specimen that exhibits just a touch of wear at the high points. Surfaces are a dark chestnut hue with a ring of lighter, ruddy brown near the denticles of both sides. The denticulation itself is wide and essentially complete, but for a small area of planchet roughness at the lower left obverse... more |

|
VG-10 |
$300.00 |
Very Good-10. All details are plainly visible on this well centered example. There is some micro roughness, but it is even and not very distracting. The glossy surfaces have an olive-brown patina. |

1795 B.6a. C.6a. No Pole. Plain Edge. Thin Planchet
|
VG-8 |
$220.00 |
Very Good-8 from the standpoint of wear. The color is a pleasing, honest chestnut-brown. There are, however, some shallow old hairline scratches beneath the patina that are primarily situated at the left obverse. |

1795 Br.6a, C.6a. No Pole. Plain Edge. Thin Planchet
|
G-4 |
$240.00 |
Good-4. This chocolate brown example is smooth but does have a few small planchet voids and marks. The date is somewhat weak, but is fully visible. The present example was struck on a cut down Talbot, Allum and Lee Cent. The host coin was of the NEW YORK variety, which is demonstrated by the fact that 'ORK' can be seen on the reverse above the word STATES. The 'MM' of COMMERCE can be... more |

1797 Br.1c, C.1. 1 over 1
|
VG-8 |
$385.00 |
Very Good-8. This wholesome coin is microscopically grainy, but appears smooth to the naked eye. The planchet is a cut down TAL cent. The undertype cannot be seen, but a positive identification can be made by the edge lettering where 'THE B' remains. The extra '1' above the date is plainly visible. This example is in a late die state with the upside down Y shaped die crack before Liberty's... more |
