Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 776 1796 LIKERTY. LM-1 CH VF $5,100.00 Choice Very Fine. Steel and bright red-gold iridescence imparts major visual appeal. Logan-McCloskey observe ''a scarce die marriage that is usually seen well worn.'' A glass finds a few light marks, wear is uniform and decidedly moderate, allowing for outstanding visual properties. PCGS VF30. 777 1797 16 Star. LM-3 (R-5). Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $21,000.00 Medium russet and gray toning over surfaces that carry a decent strike but for the breast feathers on the reverse. The lustre is a bit subdued but can be found under the toning. A very tiny reverse rim nick is the only major detraction that can be found on this marvelous coin. Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $1,000.00 - or nearly so. Gorgeous iridescent blue and rose-gold toning over reflective surfaces. The strike is quite strong and the surfaces are smooth and devoid of any major marks. A tempting little jewel that should please even the most ardent collector. 779 1832 LM-3 AU $160.00 About Uncirculated. Deep blue toning over well preserved surfaces. Exceptional deep iridescent blue and rose-gold toning over nicely preserved surfaces. Crisply struck with even the finest detail visible. A very attractive example of this type coin. 781 1854 With Arrows. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $200.00 - and nearly warranting a Choice classification. Some trivial disturbance is evident at the obverse rim, otherwise this example is certainly fully Choice. Assertive satiny surfaces are highlighted by a blush of delicate olive-gold. 782 1860 Brilliant Proof BR PF $225.00 - or slightly better. Deep natural gray toning overlies flashing silver fields and precisely struck devices of outstanding visual quality. Mint records show 1,000 Proofs struck, 545 sold. The unsold balance presumably returned to the melting pot. 783 1862 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $250.00 A lovely rose-gold and lemon-gold example that has great lustre. The strike is good but not full. There is extensive die clashing that can be seen on both sides. Nevertheless, a wonderful type coin. 784 1864 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $1,700.00 A boldly struck and well defined specimen. The silvery white obverse is fully detailed with minimal evidence of die clashing. The satiny reverse reveals some softness at the upper left. 785 1867 Very Choice Brilliant Proof VERY CH BR PF $750.00 Flashing silver contrasts with broad dashes of pale violet and pearl gray toning for bold effect. One of 625 Proofs, part of a date that includes a very abbreviated business strike mintage, increasing collector pressure on the Proofs. 786 1867 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated GEM BU $1,300.00 Delightfully mark-free though showing multiple die clash, this blue and rose-toned prooflike early strike offers exceptional visual quality. One of 8,000 business strikes produced, a low-mintage date always in demand. 787 1870 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $200.00 Pleasing frosty silver is essentially toning-free; devices and lettering are attractively sharp and full for bold visual attraction. NGC MS63. 788 1873 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $600.00 Glass-like fields that are well contrasted by frosted devices give this coin great eye appeal. Some light hairlines are present. 789 1873 Brilliant Proof BR PF $325.00 - on the cusp of Choice. Another. A vivid strike is seen in the minute details of Liberty's drapery and face. Pearly gray joins diffused rose to give fascinating color to this example of the final date of Half Dime coinage. 790 1873 Brilliant Proof BR PF $550.00 - approaching Choice. A third.
