Lovely, deep chocolate brown color on both sides with the peripheries showing lighter golden brown traces of original planchet color. Lightly granular fields as usual on the big twopenny planchets but here not disturbing to the appearance of the coin. Uncertain composition, the color suggestive of copper like Norweb's and Lauder's. From the same pattern dies as the last with the UTILE DULCI motto on the field and not within a scroll. Somewhat mottled brown and gold, centers soft as struck, edge ragged in places but also as made.
