Majestic lilac and sky blue tones dance across the obverse, the reverse is mostly pale silver with some rose and russet tones. The fields are icy smooth and accentuate the devices which are somewhat frosty, particularly at the reverse. A wonderful little jewel. |

- with claims to Gem. Here is a gorgeous example with the obverse grading fully Gem. Majestic rainbow toning rings both sides in a bullseye pattern with the centers a frosty white. Razor sharp detail resulting from a forceful strike adds to the remarkable visual appeal. A rare business strike that had a mere mintage of 4,500. Many were subsequently melted in July of 1873. |

A beautifully toned example with electric blue and rose tones hugging the rims at both sides. The centers of either side are a frosty pale silver. A well struck coin that is wholly prooflike. Issued in the low mintage of 3,300 pieces with many being melted in 1873. |
