Extremely Fine. Uniform wear, yellow-gold surfaces exhibit a trace of faint red. Some hairlines are seen, mostly in the upper left reverse field. This reverse is particularly distinctive, showing three berries and leaves merging with both 'U' and 'N' of UNITED.
1909 1795 Br.1-A (R-5). Wide Date, 3 Berries AB EF $11,000.00

About Extremely Fine. A second. Cleaning long ago gave this coin's yellow-gold surfaces a fascinating matte-like texture. Light tooling at the top of Liberty's cap and to the left of the 'U' of UNITED suggest the filling of a hole or the removal of a jewelry loop from that area. Nonetheless the design details are quite bold and the edge reeding is strong and essentially unaffected.
1910 1795 Br.1-B (R-5). Brilliant Uncirculated BU $90,000.00

- and very close to the Choice category. Fully reflective fields magnify the light abrasion. Greenish-gold toning over well struck surfaces. The edge shows a slight warp in one spot which is not uncommon with these early issues. There are some very light and well hidden adjustment marks which are confined to the hair behind the ear. Overall a very flashy coin that should make its new owner...  more

1795 Br.1-B (R-5). A second. Extremely Fine in strict terms of wear. This coin's planchet is bent,...
A second. Extremely Fine in strict terms of wear. This coin's planchet is bent, showing a peppering of tics and some bolder marks in the fields on either side. Although this coin saw its share of harsh handling, it was never holed, nor does it exhibit evidence of jewelry use. Here, basically, is an honest coin that has seen mishandling over the last two centuries of its adventurous career.
1912 1795 Br.6-F (R-5). Closest Date, Recut 'D'. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated CH BU $120,000.00
1795 Br.6-F (R-5). Closest Date, Recut 'D'. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. An exceptionally detailed...
An exceptionally detailed strike combines with flashing prooflike lustre to create startling visual impact. Assertive yellow-gold fields and devices show a dash of clear red at the obverse center. There is a considerable degree of cameo contrast that serves to further embellish the allure of this beauty. Careful study reveals some inconsequential reverse field laminations, however it cannot...  more
