Lustrous and satiny with a pale golden sheen on both sides. Nicely struck for the date, with nearly full sharpness in every quarter. The only collectible Carson City Mint issue of this short-lived denomination; the only other issue from that mint, the 1876-CC, is among the most prominent of all U.S. numismatic rarities. A pleasing coin for the grade.

Highly lustrous with satiny pale golden surfaces. Some lightness of strike is present, mostly discernible at the denomination and mintmark on the reverse. All in all, a lovely example of a perennial favorite with type coin collectors, and a coin that won't "break the bank" should you decide to add it burgeoning type set.
