Here is a wonderfully original specimen featuring even, gold-gray toning and no surface marks to speak of. Wonderfully bold lustre conveys the visual quality of a higher grade. Such wear as exists is virtually invisible, making this a thoroughly desirable example of a scarce date and Mint. Surfaces are a trifle bright from a past light cleaning, but the devices are very well defined and the fields exhibit a certain prooflike flash. A touch of toning has return to the peripheries of this very scarce mintmark variety featuring another 'S' tilted to the left of the main 'S' mintmark. 1599 1896'O' CH AU $200.00 Choice About Uncirculated, nearly Mint State. Many people would call this frosty silver specimen Uncirculated, but there is a some definite light friction at the high points of the devices. Substantial lustre provides sparkle to this briefly circulated rarity. A glass finds some obverse hairlines but overall visual appeal is remarkably high. About Uncirculated, nearly Choice. Pearly mint frost illuminates this specimen toned in clear gold. A hint of friction is noted in the fields on both sides. 1604 1898'O' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated SUP GEM BU $60.00 Prooflike; 1921 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated; 2004 Silver Eagle. Superb Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. The first coin shows abrasion in the left obverse field, the second is subdued gold, the last silver-white. Considerable lustre enriches both sides of this boldly silver specimen of the desirable first date of the 20th century, eagerly sought by Silver Dollar specialists in all higher grades. NGC AU55. 1610 1901 AU $200.00 Another. About Uncirculated. Perhaps gently cleaned some time ago, this scarce date is still quite satisfying.
