The obverse displays muted reflectivity under deep lilac-gray and mauve toning. The reverse is that of a full Gem, featuring rings of lilac, gold, deep lavender, and mauve iridescence. This date offers the lowest Proof mintage of any nineteenth century Barber Half Dollar, only 731 Proofs struck.
