Date is spaced '1 79 6' on this distinctive obverse, planchet shows a certain waviness with several edge bruises from old mishandling. Dark field toning highlights the devices. 842 1796 JR-2 (R-4). Star 15 touches Bust VG $2,600.00 A second. Very Good in strict terms of wear. The berry at the left base of the first 'S' identifies this distinctive reverse. Wear is appropriate to the grade, old scratches can be seen in the hair on the obverse. Holed and plugged at 12:00, some affected details were re-engraved. 843 1805 JR-2. 4 Berries AU $2,400.00 About Uncirculated and near the Choice category. This example of a desirable date and variety boasts a graphite gray obverse with hints of iridescent silver hugging the high rims. The reverse is deeper blue and ebony, creating unusually fascinating visual contrast. PCGS AU53. 844 1805 JR-2. 4 Berries AB F $350.00 About Fine. The obverse is toned mostly russet with some blue and rose near the peripheries. The central obverse and most of the reverse are pale silver. Medium gold with iridescent blue about the edge. 853 1874 Arrows AU $170.00 About Uncirculated. Light gold and pale gray give this pleasing coin its personality. 854 1876 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $170.00 Satisfying gleaming red-gold and a narrow band of iridescent blue surround frosty white centers for pleasing multi-color bull's-eye effect. 855 1882 CH AU $130.00 Choice About Uncirculated and very close to full Mint State. An arc of deep russet occupies the top of this lustrous coin's obverse, the reverse is wholly silver. 858 1892'S' Brilliant Uncirculated BU $600.00 A Mint State coin in terms of wear. All central devices are well detailed. A long ago gentle cleaning is evident. 859 1893'S' AU $115.00 About Uncirculated and essentially Choice. Bold silver lustre and peripheral reverse russet provide undeniable appeal. 860 1894'O' VF $200.00 Very Fine. A rare and difficult date to obtain in any grade. A pleasing rich caramel-gold distinguishes this pleasing early Denver Dime. 863 1909'S' AU $230.00 About Uncirculated. Three are hairlined from a past cleaning and the fourth is wholesome and lustrous; 1917 (3) Two are About Uncirculated and one is Brilliant Uncirculated and lustrous; 1923 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. Full Split Bands VERY CH BU $80.00 A flashy coin with intense orange and gold toning in peripheral areas; 1921 Very Good. A problem-free coin with steel gray color. 2 pieces. 868 1916, 1923, 1930, 1936 BU $60.00 All are Brilliant Uncirculated or better. The first is easily Choice were it not for a very thin scratch at the lower obverse. The second was gently cleaned long ago and now has acquired lovely pastel iridescence. The last is toned a rich olive-gold. 4 pieces. 869 1916 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated VERY CH BU $85.00 - virtually Gem. A frosty white coin with a couple of small areas beginning to tone; 1929 Brilliant Uncirculated, nearly Choice. A pleasing coin with some russet toning at the peripheries; 1930'S' Brilliant Uncirculated, and nearly Choice. Blast white with a wealth of mint lustre. 3 pieces. 870 1916'D' AG $430.00 About Good.
