About Uncirculated or better. A lovely coin that bears a needle sharp strike and an attractive golden color. Although lightly cleaned in the past, this coin is very close to Mint State.

Choice Extremely Fine and possibly better, weakly struck with much silvery lustre around the reliefs. What appears to be the top of a '7' can be seen atop the second '8', a variety not recorded by Snow. This coin does not have the die chip of the separated wing tip normally associated with 1858/7 Cents.
