 1854 Choice Brilliant Uncirculated or even finer. Wonderfully smooth fields and diamond-sharp reliefs are laved in glowing clear gold over flashing silver-white for the greatest beauty. One of 33,140 business strikes, but a date notoriously rare in the highest Mint State grades. The date is very delicately punched into the die and the tops of each digit are a trifle less sharp than the bottoms.
