1786 Vermont Copper. Landscape type. Ryder 6 (R-3). VERMONTENSIUM. 108.0 grains. Very Fine. Very sharply struck on the obverse with clear details showing in the trees on the hills, sharp sun face, good landscape detail, nice sharpness in the letters in the inscription. Double punched 'U' in PUBLICA very clear. Reverse periphery sharp, center a trifle soft as struck. Surfaces quite rough on both sides. Reverse mostly golden brown on the high points, darker in the fields. Obverse cleaned at one time. Minor rim clip.
