Successive lapping of the obverse die causes detachment or disappearance of the lowest lock's of Liberty's long tresses. The reverse shows a well-defined die crack from base of 'N' in UNITED to the arrows and on to the side of the shield. Substantial glowing lustre guarantees undeniable beauty to this boldly struck example of the final date of an historical type.
