 1891 Choice Brilliant Proof. This one shows the common streaky gold toning which has the appearance of a fine wood grain. Likely caused by the planchet preparation process, which imparted slight texturing into the planchets as they were rolled out. Faint hairlines are present, but lacking the fly specks often seen.
