 1922'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, with claims to a full Gem grade. A dramatically sharp strike and saturation by nearly flawless yellow-gold lustre give this coin its forceful appeal. The reverse is fully Gem, while the higher relief and thus more vulnerable obverse has a few minor contact marks on the devices as well as in the fields. The 1922'S' has a high mintage on paper, but in actuality, very few have survived to be collected today. The present specimen is one of the finer surviving specimens and would find a welcome home in a Double Eagle connoisseur's cabinet.
