 1854'O' Choice Extremely Fine. This coin is an outstanding example of the second rare Branch Mint production, one of 24,000 struck of this sole New Orleans date in the $3 series. Outstanding quality is shown in the sharply raised rims, meticulous devices, legend and date. The 'O' is crisply defined, not weak as described by Akers, and nearly touches the wreath tie. This yellow-gold coin is illuminated by traces of lustre in the protected areas.
