1799 B.9. Apostrophe 'S'. Choice About Uncirculated. The richest silver lustre drenches both sides of this magnificent strike, the obverse showing Bolender's right-angle die cracks in the right field. The reverse is characterized by the apostrophe-like die break after the last 'S' in STATES, a slanting die crack through 'MERICA'. Two old scratches are noted at the upper chest. This striking specimen must number among the finest known for this date and variety. ICG AU55.
