 1865'S' Repunched Date. Brilliant Uncirculated or nearly so. The base of the '1' and '8' in the date show evidence of doubling, as does the outer right curve of the top loop and inner curve of the bottom loop of the '8'. Well struck. There is a deep shade of olive-gray toning on both the obverse and reverse. The underlying surfaces exhibit muted mint frost. A very scarce date in this condition regardless of the die variety. This very collectible variety is even scarcer still.
