 1892'S' Gem Brilliant Uncirculated. The entire coin is quite satiny and appealing, with light silver-gray and a touch of russet-gold near the rims. Boldly struck throughout, with strong definition on the arrow feathers and the eagle's chest, areas which are frequently found poorly defined on this date and mint. Despite the adequate mintage, this date has been considered difficult to obtain for decades, and has earned its status as one of the keys to the entire Barber Half Dollar series. Obtaining a lovely Gem as seen here is a triumph for the specialist, and the present coin has been off the market for at least thirty years and probably much more.
