 North Carolina. April 2, 1776 Halifax Issue. Two Dollars & an half. No.3540. Four signatures. Liberty cap over altar. LIBERTAS & NATALE SOLUM. Printed on thick laid paper. Extremely Fine. Hard vertical fold, but with a short split at the top and a small juncture hole there with tiny hinge patch. The corners are rounded. Quite vivid and bright for the issue and type. Notes from the Halifax issue are always popular.
