 1879'CC over CC' Brilliant Uncirculated. Deeply mirrored fields encircle frosty white central devices and lettering for wonderful cameo contrast. Bagmarks are about average for the grade, the seeming severity of which is amplified by the prooflike surfaces. This is the variety best known as the ''Capped CC'', although Repunched 'CC' or Rusted 'CC' are more accurate descriptions of the variety.
