1844 Fine. A handsome example of this scarce date showing a full LIBERTY and lots of detail on the reverse. Only normal, minor circulation marks exist on this piece. Deep russet toning toward the rims, on the obverse, and mottled faded red and gunmetal blue toning on the reverse, give this piece a handsome appearance. A soft gray finish covers both sides. Just 72,500 pieces were coined.

Lot # 1584 Session 1
Hammer Price: $310.00
