A strong strike results in still vivid detail on both sides. The small LIBERTY includes a high and left-leaning '1'. The reverse wreath exhibits three trefoils in each branch and a small heavy bow over a very long fraction bar. The reverse is nearly Good-4 with an old thin central scratch; 1794 S.44. About Good-3 obverse and Fair-2 Reverse. 2 pieces. 1507 1794 S.65 F-12 $470.00 Fine-12 overall. The obverse is a bit stronger than the reverse. Some easily removable glue deposits are noted at the upper obverse. Here is a medium brown early copper with pleasing eye appeal. Heavy obverse glue deposits; 1864-L About Extremely Fine. A handful of trivial obverse specks; 1867/67 Very Good. Boldly repunched '67'; 1869 Strong Good or better. Some obverse speckling; 1874 Very Fine. Areas of jade patination; 1876 Very Good to Fine. 1908'S' Very Fine. However, a number exhibit either specks or patina irregularities. 13 pieces. 1511 1866 AU $340.00 About Uncirculated. Well struck with smooth brown surfaces; 1872 Very Fine. Light spots at the upper right obverse. 2 pieces. 1512 1868, 1890, 1892, 1903, 1909 BU $230.00 All are Brilliant Uncirculated or better. The 1868 and 1909 have pin scratches and some spotting on the obverse. 5 pieces. 1513 1871 Brilliant Uncirculated BU $375.00 - and approaching Choice. Smooth brown surfaces show traces of faded red. A glass detects a whisper of striking weakness on the left side of the wreath. 1514 1877 AU $1,700.00 Strong Extremely Fine and approaching About Uncirculated. Wear is very moderate and generally problem-free. A few tiny freckles can be found near the obverse rim, but this remains a thoroughly pleasing example of this most sought-after key to the entire Indian Cent series. 1515 1909'S' CH F $300.00 Choice Fine. Lincoln Cents Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 1516 1909'S' V.D.B. AU $800.00 About Uncirculated. Boldly struck with pleasing medium brown surfaces, a very few microscopic freckles can be sought out with a glass. Here is a lovely and highly collectible example of this first Lincoln type. 1517 1909'S/Horizontal S' CH BU $340.00 Very Fine. Only a few very minor specks; 1914'D' Fine. Hairline in the right obverse field and a trivial rim bruise at 4:00 on the reverse; 1931'S' Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. The obverse is red and brown while the reverse is a lovely faded mint red. Two Cent Pieces Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 1518 1864 Small Motto F $450.00 Fine. Removable glue deposits on both sides; 1872 Fine. Three Cents (Silver) Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 1519 1866 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $550.00 - with claims to the Gem category. A microscopically precise strike is enriched by glittering liquid-glass mirror fields and delicately frosted devices. Silver-white contrasts with delicate peripheral orange-gold and iridescent blue. This coin is among the finest examples of 725 Proofs struck. 1520 1867 Brilliant Proof BR PF $375.00 B.3. A Proof-only die according to Breen. Hook shaped die line below the right shield. Some abrasion in the fields, but the color is lovely. A mere 625 minted. 1521 1868 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $750.00 There is a faint hairline scratch at the lower right obverse, and a trivial reverse rim mark at 2:00. This coin would otherwise warrant a higher grade. Proof-only issue with 600 minted. 1522 1869 Brilliant Proof BR PF $375.00 Razor-sharp and retaining quite a bit of reflectivity. Only 600 were minted. 1523 1870 Brilliant Proof BR PF $375.00 - and offering a well balanced and pleasing presentation. Only 1,000 were minted. 1524 1871 Brilliant Proof BR PF $220.00 - nearly Choice. Reflective and quite attractive. A mere 960 were minted. 1525 1872 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $550.00 - and approaching Gem. The rich cameo contrast is so striking that the frosted devices appear to jump off the deep mirror background. Proof-only issue with a total mintage of 950. 1526 1873 Closed 3. Very Choice Brilliant Proof VERY CH BR PF $2,300.00 - on the cusp of fully Gem. Here is an assertively glowing example of the final date, a Proof-only mintage of 600. This glittering coin displays the rich rainbow toning noted by Breen, a blend of iridescent silver, blue and orange-gold that create a symphony of spectacular color. Three Cents (Nickel) Lot # Description Grade Hammer Price 1527 1878 Gem Brilliant Proof GEM BR PF $800.00 Partly filled second '8' identifies this variety. Exceptional glass-smooth, totally reflective and flawless fields highlight the bold quality of this example of a Proof-only date of 2,350. 1528 1880 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $300.00 Crisp detail, pleasing contrast and delicate golden toning give this coin its considerable appeal. Some minor flecks appear on the obverse. 1529 1880 Choice Brilliant Proof CH BR PF $260.00 Some spotting and tape residue are noted on this coin's reflective silver-gray surfaces. 1530 1882 Brilliant Proof BR PF $260.00 Some spotting, surface residue and a slight wipe on Liberty's cheek.
