 1848'D' Brilliant Uncirculated. A rare coin in almost any grade. This important specimen is very sharply struck and detailed, with bold outlining to the legends, stars and central devices. Fields are ablaze in prooflike lustre, while the overall tone of this coin is yellow-gold and richer orange-gold. A mere 3,250 coins were struck of this date, and no more than a mere handful could rival this eye-arresting specimen for sheer quality and appeal.
