1875 Very Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. This splendidly frosty silver coin displays a halo of subtle gold. This coin was a highlight of Rarcoa's section of Auction '79, where it was described as ''Third lowest mintage of the regular circulation strike Trade Dollars. GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED with absolutely full strike, including the head, eagle's wing and claw. The surfaces are nearly pristine, and with an incredible amount of satiny lustre accentuated by a whisper of pale golden peripheral toning. A VERY RARE DATE to obtain in this quality, we would not hesitate to call this particular specimen ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN.''
Ex Auction '79 (Rarcoa, July 1979, lot 1035).
