Autographed Check on the New York State Bank [,], Albany, 1859, signed by Millard Fillmore. Thirteenth President of the United States. A check for $118.00 drawn on the N.Y. State Bank in Albany dated February 10, 1859. Fillmore was perhaps our most ''Missing in Action'' President. His lack of actions did not help ease tensions that eventually led to the Civil War in 1861. The signature is a bit light as typical and there is some edge roughness. Hammer canceled. Mounted to a display board by the corner tips.
