 1877'S' $20.00. Brilliant Uncirculated and only a wisp from the Choice category. At first glance this outstanding coin appears even nicer, but a glass and enough effort find faint bag storage abrasions. San Francisco struck 1,735,000 pieces in this active year, but the jump in value between basic Uncirculated and Choice gives an indication of its extraordinary scarcity in the higher grades. Added evidence is presented by the 17 appearances in Dannreuther-Garrett, most of which hover around the present coin's grade.
