Extremely Fine or better. A vividly detailed strike can be seen in the fine points of the coronet and its inscription. The high relief of the obverse assures less dramatic reverse relief. A few light marks testify that the respected Kellogg coins saw extensive circulation in the overheated economy of booming Gold Rush California and the American West.

999 1871-G 25¢. Round. B-G 838. Liberty Head. Brilliant Uncirculated BU $180.00

- virtually Choice. Usual shallow strike and beautiful yellow and orange-gold tones define this marvelous little jewel. This reverse die was used in many combinations, and this die variety comes in two states; the current piece is State II, which is the polished and cracked state. - with claims to Choice. Boldly struck and attractively toned in rich yellow-gold, this specimen exhibits abundant appeal for this rare issue.
