1793 Wreath. S.10 (R-4). Injured Rim, Period after AMERICA. Very Fine-30 from the standpoint of actual wear, and a lower-end Condition Census example with a boldly impressed Vine and Bars edge. The sharply defined, diagnostic narrow area of the obverse border at 3:00 helps define this important variety. This example is a pleasing deep glossy brown, the reverse offering some porosity near the rim and a short toned-over rim cut at 5:00. Careful study of the obverse field reveals traces of skillful smoothing long ago.
