1802 JR-2 (R-5). Choice Extremely Fine. An extraordinarily sharp silver-gray and rose example showing a few trivial hairlines and an ancient toned-over scratch below 'Y' of LIBERTY. Early U.S. Dimes lists no Mint State examples of this scarce variety, the finest know being Extremely Fine-45, underscoring this coin's remarkable grade and interest to collectors of the early Dime coinage.
Ex Stack's June 1989 Sale, lot 1284.
