Well struck and enjoying semi-reflective lustre in the obverse field. The reverse is entirely satiny. Only a limited number of extremely light, random obverse lines are discernible beneath pale golden toning at Liberty's cheek and neck. Despite this minor shortcoming, this coin remains both wonderfully attractive, and far above the norm from the standpoint of quality.

Ex New York Sale (New England Rare Coin Auctions, March 25-26, 1977, lot 437); New England Rare Coin Auctions July 1976 Sale.
