1891 Brilliant Proof, with some claims to Choice but rather cloudy and dull from a past cleaning. Years have restored peripheral russet toning on the obverse and reverse, while the centers remain frosty. The surfaces are clean and show minimal evidence of handling in the form of nicks or hairlines, which are present but faint. A mere 600 pieces were coined in Proof that year, and production efforts of half dollars finally resumed to levels not seen since 1878. Final year of issue of the Seated Liberty Half Dollar.
