1825/3 Br.2. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated, the reverse near-Gem. Radiant lustre in the fields and appealing for the medium dark gray toning with blue and russet accents on both the obverse and reverse. Boldly executed by the dies with no signs of softness on the stars, curls or eagle. Even the overdate feature is clear within the top half of the '5'. On Liberty's neck there is a small struck through error where a small foreign object adhered to the planchet during striking, which extends from above her lowest curl nearly to the center dot. The depression left by this object is shallow and a magnifier is best employed to view this feature. Scattered handling ticks are found on the surfaces, none deep or distracting.
