This coin is a major rarity, presenting the rare Transitional reverse, Type I over II, or Pointed Berry over Split Berry. The recent Liberty Seated Collectors Club census of varieties reveals exactly two examples among the club's members' collections, underscoring the remarkable rarity of this recently discovered major variety.
