Gem Brilliant Uncirculated.  This boldly impressed date shows the tip of the '5' piercing the bust, distinctly different from the Lawrence plate showing the repunched '5'. This obverse presents rich old-gold toning that deepens toward the left. The reverse is mostly silver with clear gold near the outer rim on this exemplary Branch Mint strike.
