MCMVII (1907) Roman Numeral. High Relief, Wire Rim. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated. A sharp wire rim surrounds diamond-sharp stars which in turn frame the sharpest possible figure of a striding Liberty possessing wonderfully crisp facial figures. The soaring eagle on the reverse provides remarkable dimension and is an important element in this coin's great overall beauty. Deep red-gold lustre laves the wonderfully smooth fields on both sides that also display very delicate but perceptible orange-peel texture for increased visual appeal. Defects are virtually non-existent, but one or two tiny reverse tics and a single tic on the reverse wire rim are noted for accuracy and may justify this coin's distinctly conservative grade. The marvelous surface originality and overall freshness are those generally associated with higher grades. PCGS MS63.
