1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 56-n. Camel Head. Late Rahway or Elizabethtown Mint. 111.7 gns. Fine....1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 56-n. Camel Head. Late Rahway or Elizabethtown Mint. 111.7 gns. Fine. Medium brown surfaces host a hint of burgundy as well as microscopic porosity that does not detract. Probably overstruck, although not clearly so. The reverse exhibits a gigantic, unidentified counterstamp 'IL' in thin, serifed letters.
