1795 Br.6a. C.6a. No Pole. Plain Edge. Thin Planchet. About Uncirculated-55. Miss Liberty's hair appears to float in the wind on this boldly impressed specimen that exhibits just a touch of wear at the high points. Surfaces are a dark chestnut hue with a ring of lighter, ruddy brown near the denticles of both sides. The denticulation itself is wide and essentially complete, but for a small area of planchet roughness at the lower left obverse and upper left reverse that was inherent in the planchet at the time of striking. Here is a coin that was a good choice for the type by our consignor and will make another wise decision for its new owner. NGC AU55 BN.
